Henry More, 1614 - 1687

Henry More was one of the Cambridge Platonists of the seventeenth century who influenced Ralph Waldo Emerson's apprehension of Platonism.  More's Philosophical Poems (1647) and metaphysical prose writings (1653 - 1671) were relished by Emerson as preeminent examples of the high spirituality that could be found in Plato.
